Reliable, high‑speed internet is no longer a nice‑to‑have for communities in Prince Edward Island—it’s essential for economic development, access to services, and keeping local businesses competitive. To help close connectivity gaps, Innovation PEI established the PEI Broadband Fund for Internet Service Providers, aimed at supporting projects that expand or improve broadband infrastructure across the province, particularly in underserved areas.

Through this initiative, eligible internet service providers and project partners could receive non‑repayable funding to offset a significant portion of their infrastructure costs, often covering up to half of approved project expenses.
