Offered by Innovate BC
For B.C. technology companies that have moved beyond the lab but still need proof in real operating environments, demonstrating real-world performance can be the difference between stalled interest and market traction. The Integrated Marketplace: Early-Stage Demonstration Call is designed for small and medium-sized enterprises that are ready to pilot innovative solutions with real customers, helping bridge the gap between a working prototype and commercial adoption.
Delivered by Innovate BC through its Integrated Marketplace platform, this call supports demonstration projects across sectors such as healthcare, transportation and logistics, mining and critical minerals, aerospace and defence, and other strategic industries. Selected businesses can access non-repayable funding of up to around $500,000 to offset a portion of pilot costs, allowing them to validate performance, improve health and safety outcomes, boost productivity, or reduce environmental impact. A key strength of the program is its focus on connecting innovators with early adopters, enabling collaboration that de-risks technology adoption while strengthening British Columbia’s innovation ecosystem.
The Early-Stage Demonstration Call is not always open, but it launches periodically to align with provincial priorities like decarbonization, operational efficiency, and resilient infrastructure. For B.C.-based SMEs developing advanced technologies and looking to accelerate commercialization through real-world validation, understanding how this opportunity works could be a critical next step toward market readiness.
